Nice interview, although Simon is contradicting himself a bit there. I understand what he means though, he had a different view of Brittany because the people you're close to grow on you. There were many layers of Brittany's persona that she didn't show in public, because it was none of our business. No surprise to anyone that she was inquisitive and even calculating at times. Her wit was razor sharp.

I liked the interview, but it made me miss Britt even more than I thought that I could. The pictures of her ... she was always so beautiful. I miss my little angel so terribly!

This isn't even worth its own thread so I'll just post it here.

Brittany Murphy’s hubby dismisses mum sex rumours

London, Mar 23 – Late actress Brittany Murphy’s husband British producer Simon Monjack has hit back at accusations that he is sleeping with his dead wife’s mother.

Monjack has insisted that the sordid claims were based solely on the fact he’s sharing a house with Sharon, who he has described as having a medical condition which restricts her mobility.

“We don’t have sex, number one. Number two, she is a woman that has toxic neuropathy, which means she can barely walk,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

“I live downstairs, she lives upstairs,” he added.

‘Clueless’ star Murphy was pronounced dead at the LA home she shared with Monjack after collapsing in the shower from a heart attack. (ANI)

Is that the best they can come up with? Seriously, how low can you get?...

^^^ I have to side with Simon and Sharon on this. It is apparent that Simon, Brittany and Sharon formed a loving family unit. It is only natural that Simon and Sharon would bond in coping with a tragic loss for both of them. I see absolutely nothing wrong with them leaning on each other for support.

Well I doubt that they have bonded that way. But it's none of our business to be honest, they are both adults and they can do whatever they want on that front.

110% agreeing!
Plus some tabloids actually wrote stories about them having a relationship, so I think that it is only normal that he denies that.

Here's the second half of the interview.  I also modified my original post to link to both halves of the interview.

Hat off to Simon. However, I do not entirely agree on the "awful movies straight to DVD" part. I wonder what movies he was referring to. Awful probably if you look at how much you get paid for doing those.

This brought tears to my eyes. Simon showing the bathroom Brittany died in

I think Simon was just saying that Brittany was disappointed in the roles she was able to get in her later years. I actually love some of her "straight to DVD" work, especially The Ramen Girl and Neverwas. Even The Dead Girl received only a limited release. I hope he was joking when he described these films as "so hideous that she wanted to kill herself." Don't joke about something like that, Simon.

I found the bathroom interview a little creepy.

I agree with you on that. Lack of judgement.

Cheesy I'm not sure about the whole morbid nature of this myself. I don't doubt that Brittany wanted to make A list major movies. She had a number of films such as MAJOR MOVIE STAR and BOYFRIEND IN A BOX lined up before LITTLE BLACK BOOK tanked. MAJOR is being made with someone else. I don't remember who.

Why would he show that?  Undecided
That's just not right in my opinion. Unless they paid him to?

I think he is trying to make Hollywood feel bad about Brittany's career but I don't see why. There is nothing wrong with straight to dvd movies. Some of the best indie films go straight to dvd. I have seen a lot of crap movies that make it to the theater. Joking about killing herself isn't funny at all.

If you're talking about the bathroom thing. It didn't upset me that much it was just incredibly sad. I'm pondering more of the fact, why didn't it upset Simon?

I think it did, I could see that he felt uncomfortable with the situation ...
